The MGA Twin Cam Enthusiasts e-mail discussion group was started in April 1999.
In August 2010, membership totalled 395 enthusiasts from over 20 different countries accounting for ownership of more than 320 Twin Cams and 45 Deluxes. New members continue to join at the rate of 1 or 2 per month.
In the same time over 24,000 messages have been exchanged on the restoration, maintenance and vintage racing of Twin Cams and Deluxes. Cars and parts "For Sale" are listed regularly. Sources for products and services are discussed. Members often tell the interesting history of their particular car.
Some may be unfamiliar with the workings of an e-mail discussion group. Quite simply, members send an e-mail message with their question or comment to a common e-mail address. The mailing service at that address then sends a copy to every member currently on the mailing list. Members then wishing to reply, repeat the process and knowledge builds as information continues to be shared.
The discussion group also has these additional, beneficial features.
